This Halo 4 themed Xbox is a thing of beauty. This console is actually
my first "S" (slim) model Xbox and I'm completely in love with it. The
artwork on it is painted directly onto the console's clear plastic shell
and it's a really nice design when compared to any of the other limited
edition consoles. You also get two similarly styled controllers (the
good ones with the rotating D-pad) and the console and controllers both
share a cool blue lighting motif instead of the usual Xbox green. The
console itself makes a little sound when you either power on the system
or eject the disc and it's little more than a gimmick. An interesting
choice in making the buttons touch sensitive as well, that was
unexpected.
This is a fantastic bundle at an extremely good price. I was going to
purchase the Halo game by itself when I got a call from my grandson
frantic because his old (purchased in 2010) was working very well
anymore. It was a no brainer to get this bundle. He says it's faster,
doesn't need a cooling fan and is smaller than his old one. He's been
using it every day since he got it and is very happy with it. Likes the
fact that the other games he has which, of course, I purchased from
Amazon,work even better. The old one got a lot of use so I certainly
didn't mind getting this newer version.
