Reviews Britax B-Safe Infant Car Seat, Black

We fell in love with the Britax B-Agile stroller and got this car seat to go with it. It is very nice, very sturdy and seems comfortable. The canopy is great - it really covers a lot. Installation was a breeze, it's easy to use, easy to clean and the black fabric stays cool even in our Texas summers. One thing worth mentioning - it is quite bulky. This is not necessarily a drawback, but prospective buyers should be aware. We also have a Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Britax is a good bit wider and heavier. I am a petite woman and although I'm strong enough to handle the weight, the bulk of it makes it awkward for me to carry around. It is also hard to fit in shopping carts and we have yet to find a restaurant booth that it will fit into. None of these are serious problems and are easily worked around. In fact, it's also roomier than the Keyfit, so my daughter is more comfortable in it now that she's getting to the bigger end of the fit limits.

This car seat is a breeze to get in and out and the handle is easy to hold. Car seats get difficult to cart around but this one makes the 'elbow carry' pretty easy.

I love this carseat - it looks nice and I get many compliments on it when I am out. The straps are easily adjustable as my son grows and the click in system is helpful. I will say that to also just seatbelt the carseat without the base is really super easy so don't spend $80 on that extra base.
